Fitness for girls – the beginning

Nowadays, a sports lifestyle and the cult of a healthy person are regaining popularity, as it was 20-30 years ago. Sport has become not only a useful activity, but also a fashionable trend and, paradoxically, promoting sport to the masses is no longer required. Everyone, of course, is interested in a beautiful figure. Bodybuilding exists for men, but what about girls in this situation? The answer is quite simple – fitness. Unfortunately, the vast majority of girls are subject to social stereotypes that do not allow them to start playing sports. Today we will try to dispel the most paradoxical of them, thereby causing a surge of motivation among the fair half of humanity.

1. “I don’t want muscles, I want to remain feminine”

Few people know that girls lack the main hormone – testosterone (belongs to the male hormone androgens), which is responsible for gaining muscle mass, strength characteristics and recovery periods. In women, testosterone levels are so low that achieving a bodybuilding physique requires specialized strength training for more than three years. Note, not in a fitness manner, but in a strength-training manner with heavy weights and a specialized diet. That is, no matter how much you exercise, you will not be able to “pump up” muscles like bodybuilders. In men, the situation is exactly the same with female hormones – estrogens. But this is already a digression from the topic.

Fitness involves strengthening all muscle groups and improving overall tone. There are also methods that will help reduce the percentage of body fat in the shortest possible time, but we will talk about them in the following articles, since they require detailed consideration. In general, if you are looking for a sport that will allow you to fight with yourself, move forward to a beautiful feminine figure and keep your entire body in good shape, then fitness is the right choice.

2. “I don’t know how to start doing fitness”

Of course, you cannot know the basic theory of fitness, you need to study it. As for exercises and exercise equipment, a personal trainer will come to your aid. If this is not possible, then we will try to gradually introduce you to fitness. This includes: healthy eating, descriptions of exercises, various techniques and the whole theory of this sport as a whole.

But be that as it may, a personal trainer is a good investment in yourself. Even if you memorize the theory and understand the mechanism of a particular muscle group, it is not a fact that you will perform the exercises technically correctly. Theory and practice are completely different things.

3. “I don’t have time, I don’t see results and other excuses”

In fact, ideally, 3 workouts per week will be enough for you, but even 2 will be enough for slow but steady progress towards your goals. Training, in turn, will not take you more than an hour and a half, well, in rare cases, the duration of the training can be equal to two hours, but no more.

The result will not come out of nowhere, you need to really give it 100%. This, of course, requires motivation. The only thing you need to start doing fitness is a sufficient charge of motivation, and it can be both positive and negative, for example, “to spite everyone.”

Laziness and lack of motivation are the worst enemies of a beautiful figure. In fact, you only need 2-3 workouts per week, which, take my word for it, will bring you pleasure. There is only one way to motivate yourself and remove remaining laziness – discipline, but not too strict. Working out will be quite challenging at first, but after a couple of weeks you will begin to enjoy your time in the fitness center, knowing that with each workout you are one step closer to your goals.

It is very important to learn how to enjoy this, you can do this quite simply: spend some money and buy yourself a nice sports uniform, gloves and headphones to listen to your favorite music. Fitness centers, as you know, are filled with mirrors, and every glance at yourself in full “combat” readiness will once again delight you.

4. “I don’t want to eat less because of a diet”

Unfortunately, there is a widespread stereotype that a diet means cutting calories and, accordingly, foods. In fact, a diet is proper nutrition, that is, a diet consisting of healthy foods in a large assortment.

Many people think that to lose weight you need to cut calories, although in fact you need to get rid of a small proportion of carbohydrates, vegetable fats and make protein foods the main product. Please note, only reduce it and in no case should you completely abandon it. A lack of any of the above elements leads to a deterioration in health and you can forget about sports. The body must have the optimal amount of all substances and microelements. You also need vitamins, but using fruits as their source is a mistake.

In the next series of articles we will talk in detail about proper nutrition and fitness in general.
