Position under the castle

Remember the locks to protect the health of your friends!

According to statistics, bodybuilding is one of the safest sports on the planet. This is not motorcycle racing, where accidents sometimes claim the lives of dozens of drivers in just one season. However, there are plenty of injuries in our sport. Most of them are due to simple bungling: one client dropping weight on another’s leg. The most common cause of accidents is the lack of locks on the ends of the barbell. Even with a slight misalignment of the bar, the weights slide down the slippery end of the bar and fall to the floor with a crash. But this is only the beginning of a possible tragedy. The bar, which has lost its plates on one side, turns into a rocker and lifts the free end towards the ceiling. It’s the turn of the pancakes to slide onto the floor from the other end of the bar, drooping towards the floor. And woe to anyone who happens to be nearby at that moment! Always put locks on the ends of the bar! Moreover, there are plenty to choose from in fitness clubs !

ROGUE CASTLE
The English word rogue has many meanings. He is translated as a naughty person, a mischievous person, a tramp and even a swindler. However, the inventor had purely technical terminology in mind. This word in technology means everything non-standard. This castle is an exception to the rule. A patented latch is used here. It provides extremely reliable fastening of the pancakes.

OLYMPIC LOCK
This is a classic lock, including a movable section. You attach the lock to the bar, and then twist the massive nut and clamp the plates tightly with it. As a result, your barbell turns into a comfortable monolith. The displacement and rotation of the plates, which can damage the correct technique of performing the exercises, is eliminated. The lock weighs 2.5 kg and must be taken into account when calculating the total weight of the barbell.

YORK LOCK
This type of lock was invented specifically for amateur bodybuilding. The locks are small, convenient and weigh very little. The lack of solidity is quite justified: amateurs use relatively light weights. But the simplicity of the device is obvious. It is enough to turn the fastening lever with your index finger, and the lock secures the plates to the bar with a death grip.

TIGHTEN YOUR GRIP!
Some of the injuries occur in special cases when an amateur was unable to hold the barbell in his hands and dropped it on his friend’s leg. Be sure to work out with a wrist expander, increasing the resistance from 20 to 50 kg or more. Regularly change the wrist expander to a tighter one.
